Giggling, surprised, guffawing, thrilled!
An exhibition all about enjoying faces
Faces sure are fun!
The creative unit tupera tupera is most active in the arena of picture books. They use colorful pasted pictures, cutouts, and humorous turns of phrase, overflowing with fun, laughter, and surprises, to appeal to people of all ages. An exhibition of the work by these popular creators is finally coming to Kagawa, with a theme of “faces.”
The exhibition features illustrations from such works as “Make Faces” and “Let’s Make Scary Eyes,” the “Ten Faces” exhibit of a lineup of 2-meter high faces, and the visual piece “Face-Making Rhythm.” There is also the massive installation “Face Chaos,” which allows visitors to the museum to uncover all sorts of hidden contraptions for themselves, and “Happy Floorman” that allows people to create their own unique faces. This exhibition is about more than just looking at the art from afar; there are participation and experience based exhibits too.
The venue is bursting with faces, faces, faces! Adults and children alike will be giggling, surprised, guffawing, and thrilled! Step into a wonderful world of funny and exciting faces.
